Day 215 Plasma

Plasma is a large, heavy wallhanging with lots of homemade fabric beads, glass beads, and found objects, pieced in blocks of wavy tapestry. It has a decorative wooden dowel for hanging and is 42" tall and 32" across.

Day 214 Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is a 13" tall by 8" wide pieced, quilted and heavily embellished wall hanging.

Day 213 Ocean Community

Ocean Community is a 28" tall by 25" wide wall hanging, pieced, appliqued, quilted and specialty yarn embellished. A few beads, too.

Day 212 Nokomis' Song

Nokomis' Song is a tribute to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's epic poem of Hiawatha, that I memorized (only the first several stanzas) many years ago. "By the Shores of Gitcheegummee, by the shining big sea water, stood the the wigwam of Nokomis, Daughter of the Moon, Nokomis"...remember that? It is a great one. I'm off to go read the whole thing....

New Galaxy is a 16" x 24" wall hanging, pieced, quilted, heavily embellished with yarns and other treasures.

"Mermaid's Room with a View" is a large, 78" tall by 62" across fabric collage wallhanging. One of my first. Took about 2 years. Lots of appliques, lace, embellishments, found objects, metal and glass beads, shells braided in her green yarn hair, one anenome is made from a street sweeper bristle I found in the bike lane...

"Magical Metamorphosis" is a 20" tall x 21" wide pieced, quilted and heavily embellished with glass beads and wire antennae.
