Day 289 Velvet Diamonds Quilt

OK, so I know I've gotten behind (but I have a good excuse...I got mono!)
So, here is the big make up art: a 95" x 100" quilt! Perfect for a queen size bed, but works for a king, just a little less hanging over the sides. It is made of velvet diamonds, with bright cotton borders and a fuchsia border all around.

Day 283 African Mama

"African Mama" is an artistic work with molded metal African woman faces, decorated with beaded "hair" and earrings on each side, pieced, quilted and embellished. It is 10" x 10" x 4" lined with zippered pockets and 25" woven handles.

Day 282 MOMA Bag

This bag, "MOMA" reminded me of going to an art show in a big city....hence, "MOMA". It is 14" x 14", but anything but "square". It is embellished with buttons, has a magnetic snap closure and pockets.

Day 281 Uptown Bag

"Uptown" is 11" x 13" x 2" tasteful tan tapestry, lined with zippered pockets, quilted and embellished with beads and treasures. It had a magnetic snap closure.

Day 280 Caribbean Bag

"Caribbean" is 11" x 17" with zippered pockets, appliqued, lined and has a magnetic snap closure. It has 22" woven handles.

Day 279 Everglades Bag

"Everglades" is an 11" x 15" x 2" pieced silk prints and tapestry strips, quilted, lined with pockets, closed with a magnetic snap and has 24" woven handles.

Day 278 Watercolor Flowers

"Watercolor Flowers" is an 11" x 16" handpainted fabric on one side, embellished (with beads and yarns) on the other, lined with pockets, and quilted. It has beaded handles.
